Distributors and end-users will have different colored badges so suppliers will be able to differentiate who they are talking to
When your client arrives, they will be given a lead sheet that they can complete while walking the show floor
Suppliers will not talk specific pricing or net pricing or exchange business cards with end-users
Once your clients are finished with the show, they will turn this form into you so you can follow-up on their interests
Some suppliers will also make notes about your client and may proactively email you with follow-up information
Why would I want to bring a client to the Spring Swing?
Your client will be able to see more product than you could ever show them
Your client will be able to see products and decoration you hadn’t thought to show them
Your client will be able to touch and feel best sellers and new products
Your client will be able to see decoration that wows
Your client will be able to learn about successful use of the product (case studies)
Your client might receive samples at the show
What’s in it for me?
You will be able to show your client more product than you ever could productively or cost-effectively
You will be able to see what draws your client’s attention
You will learn about products or projects that are in the “works”
You will be able to tap into a supplier’s knowledge about product usage and decorating
Samples might be available on the spot eliminating extra work for you
Other best practices
Review the pre-show exhibitor list to see who will be exhibiting
Arrive at the start of the show so you can maximize this event for yourself as well as for your client
Ask your client what time they plan to arrive; this will allow you to be sure you are there to greet them
Ask your client how much time they have; consider planning a “must visit list” for them ahead of time so they see the suppliers and products you want them to see
